CONTROL KNOBS
> Remove knobs in the OFF position by
pullingforward.
> Wash,rinseanddry.Do notuseabrasive
cleaningagentsas theymayscratchthe
finish.
> Turn on each elementto be sure the
knobshavebeencorrectlyreplaced.
DRIP BOWLS - SELECTMODELS
Porcelainmaydiscolororcrazeif overheated.
This is normal and will not affect cooking
performance.
> When cool, wash after each use, rinse
anddry to preventstainingor discolora-
tion. Maybewashedinthe dishwasher.
> To clean heavysoi!, soak in hot sudsy
water, then use a mild abrasivecleaner
suchas SoftScrub*and aplasticscour-
ing pad.
> For burnedon soil, removefrom range,
placeonnewspapersandcarefullyspray
with commercialoven cleaner. (Do not
spray surroundingsurfaces.) Place in
plastic bag and allow to soak several
hours.Wearing rubber gloves, remove
frombag,wash, rinseand dry.
ENAMEL (PAINTED)- SIDEPANELS
> Whencoot,washwithwarmsoapywater,
rinseanddry. Neverwipea warmor hot
surface with a damp cloth as this may
damagethe surface and may cause a
steamburn.
> For stubborn soil, use mildly abrasive
cleaning agents such as baking soda
pasteor BonAmi*. Do not use abrasive
cleanerssuchas steelwoolpadsoroven
cleaners.Theseproductswill scratchor
permanentlydamagethe surface.
NOTE: Use dry towel or cloth to wipe up
spills, especiallyacid or sugaryspills. Sur-
facemaydiscolororduffif soflis notimmedi-
ately removed. Thisis especiallyimportant
for whitesurfaces.
GLASS - OVEN WINDOWS & DOORS
> Avoid usingexcessiveamountsof water
which may seep underor behindglass
causingstaining.
> Wash with soap and water. Rinse with
clearwateranddry, Glasscleanercanbe
used if sprayedon a ctothfirst.
> Do not use abrasive materialssuch as
scouringpads, steel wool or powdered
cleanersas they will scratchglass.
GLASS-CERAMIC COOKTOP -
SELECT MODELS
Neveruseovencleaners,chlorinebleach,
ammonia or glass cleaners with ammo-
nia. NOTE:Callan authorizedservicerif
theglass-ceramictopshouldcrack,break
orif metaloraluminumfoilshouldmelton
the cooktop.
> LightSoil - Usesoap and waterand a
cleancloth or papertowel, or non-abra-
sivecieanersuchas BonAmi*orCooktop
CleaningCreme**(Part No.20000001).
Rinseand dry.
> Heavy Soils or Metal Marks - Gently
scrubwithCooktopCleaningCremeand
a plastic scrubber. Reappty cleaner.
Cover with damp paper towels to keep
moist,let stand 30to 45 minutes.Scrub
againto remove remainingstain. Rinse
and dry.
> Burned-onor Crusty Soils- Holdrazor
bladescraperat 300angleandcarefully
scrapeoff soit.Cleanremainingsoil with
method describedabove.

wipetherackedgeandracksupportwith
asmallamountof vegetableoilto restore
easeof movement,thenwipe offexcess
oil. Likewise,placeonedropofvegetable
oil on rackroller.
NOTE:Removeoven racks duringa clean
cycle. If racks are left in the oven, it may
impair functionand theywill discolor.
